Frustration....the act of becoming increasingly annoyed at stupid people. No, that is NOT webster's def. it's mine. I have didcovered that I am using that word with an alarming regularity, Every little thing that some one does bugs the stink out of me. Even if it has nothing to do with me...crazy right?? I know, that the only thing in my life that I can truly control is myself and my reactions to the world around me...but sometimes I really wish that I was the dictator of the world, so that everything would be just the way i like it.
So, this sort of stems from an "issue" that Sam and I were having last night. Sam bought me this truly rocking stereo for my truck...I mean the truck is already pretty amazing, and this is like sprinkles on the top of my banana split! But being the Oober control freak that I am, I want to know down to the last mm how something works, is built, etc. Well, I am not sure if I misunderstood, or mistook what was said, but I feel like we **Sam and I** are sooo not on the same page as to what I wanted and how I wanted it all to work. I know that I drive him batty in the sense that I am not always about doing something however it's cheapest. I am sure that this stems from my mom..."cheap doesn't always mean good" rule of thumb. Sam, well to say that he grew up differently would be a monumental understatement. It seems that "cheap is the only way" is the rule of thumb that He grew up with. Now for the record, I don't mind spending less money if the end result is going to be the same...But what I do have a issue with is not spending the $$ and continuing to cut corners and getting something that has been half-assed so to speak. That is how I am feeling about my stereo right now. While I appreciate all that Sam has done, and gotten..I feel like he so desperately wants to believe in/whatever anyone tells him that he is taken pretty constistanly for a ride. Maybe it's my cynical outlook on life and most people in general...but I always want to know what the "catch" is...what's in it for the other person...if that makes sense. I just don't like fighting with him over petty things. I know that I am demanding, and difficult to please...these are things that I am truly working on, that I really want to change. Life is hard for most people, it's a up hill battle both ways for me.; and sometimes I wonder if Sam truly realizes that, I guess I can make it pretty easy to forget...on a good day.
